A new and ever-growing field, ADAS calibration is the precise physical alignment, testing, and electronic aiming of sensors like forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking and more. Due to the nature of these sensors, it’s imperative that they be precisely aimed. A slight misalignment could have the sensor assessing the wrong area around the car, which can severely decrease the reaction time of the associated system. While all sensors are calibrated when the car is on the line, factors like accidents or repairs can cause misalignment.
